i dream,
about fulfilling my dream,
cos that's almost impossible to happen.
cruel reality.
wherever i go,
i meet many realists,
who find idealistic and slightly radical dreams stupid.
cos in this world,
"that can never happen", they say.
instead they talk about realistic stuff,
like wanting to score an A in math,
or exercising more or something.
but what's wrong with having radical dreams?
i never believed that something is IMPOSSIBLE to happen,
there's always a ~1% chance that it will.
when there's a will, there's a way.
or is that saying flawed too?
the world would be awfully dull,
if we define the boundaries
between 'can' and 'cannot'.
would it be not?
i don't advocate idealism,
but rather i prefer,
an open and imaginative mind,
governed by realistic thinking,
and inspired by startling possibilities.
for i believe
no matter what our dream is
we ought to perservere on
admist the seemingly enormous obstacles
in store for us.
i choose
to keep the dream alive,
even though it may just remain as a dream.
still, the thought of it being fulfilled
gives me motivation,
motivation to face each day
with a positive mindset.
i shan't overlook that ~1% possibility;
the dream shall be kept alive.
//The dream was always running ahead of me. To catch up, to live for a moment in unison with it, that was the miracle..
